Some extra information about our Crayfish!
The preserved crayfish is originally prepared using formaldehyde. After preservation, the specimen is flushed and
then stored in Nebanol (non-toxic solution). Gloves are not required, but students may request them.
Whether you use gloves or not, remind the students not to touch their eyes, nose or mouth during the experiment.
Store at normal room temperature for 6-9 months in original packaging.
NOTE: The crayfish are for a viewing experiment only.

FAQ's
1. Why do you only include 1 Crayfish Specimen?
The students are NOT dissecting the Crayfish. They will only be viewing and comparing them to the anatomy chart.
Make sure to ask lots of guided questions to get the investigation started.
Each student will get a Forcep (rotate to week 10), Wooden Probe, and External Anatomy Chart (PDF) to participate.
The Consumable Box DOES NOT include Crayfish.
You will need to rotate the crayfish to the next class.
2. Do you offer an option for rotating classes?
Yes, we do! If you have more than one class rotating out of the same room, you need to purchase 1 Complete Classroom Box and 1 of the Consumable Boxes for each additional class of students.
The Consumables box removes items that can be reused by multiple classes.
Example: If you have 3 classes rotating out of 1 classroom, you will need 1 Complete Box and 2 Consumable Boxes.
*Note: The Consumable Box DOES NOT include additional crayfish.
They are for viewing only, and can be rotated from the Class Box.

5. Do you offer a student add-on option this year?
Yes, this is also a highly requested item that allows you to include consumable supplies for up to 2 students.
Simply choose the FAM/TUTOR - CONSUMABLES option from the drop down menu. You can pick one of the customized options, if you need to remove items.
6. How do I know the experiments work?
We conduct all of the experiments in house and have a team of CC Directors and Tutors that also test the supplies to ensure accuracy and success.
7. Are the worksheets and PDF's included in my packet?
Yes, we include PDF downloads for weeks 6, 9, 10, 11, 13, 18, 20, 22, and 23.
Print as needed for your students. Please don't share outside your campus.
