Quick FAQ's on the Sunprint Experiment
1. Do we need plexiglass to do the experiment?
No it actually works better for 3D objects if you place them directly on the paper. (rocks, shells, small objects etc...)
2. What if the wind is blowing and we are using flat objects?
You can use a sheet protector if needed, or you can pin the sunprint paper and object to a small piece of cardboard.
3. How long does the experiment take?
The paper will change to a light blue within 2-3 minutes.
It should then be put in a short water bath to set the print.
4. Is this easy for young children?
Yes, it's both fun and easy. 3D objects are easier for small hands. You can also do handprints! Just hold the hand on the paper until light blue and then set in the water bath.
